About the Conference

The FIMS Student Conference 2012 is the first conference organized by graduate students in the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at Western University. It will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2012 in the North Campus Building.

Change-makers: Innovation in the Information Community

How do you see information changing? What does the future of information look like? What do you think about the direction that information is taking? What is the relationship between information and technology? How is your field responding to these questions? What is your perspective?


To provide opportunities for professional and academic development for FIMS undergraduate and graduate students.


To develop the leadership, communication, organization skills, and presentation skills of FIMS students.
